Build your own AI minion with Claude

Remember that time I built an AI Uncle that scolds? Well, this time I'm going to let you talk to an AI minion, but also show you the prompts that I used to create it.

Well, who doesn't love minions? They are cute, funny, and always up to some mischief. They are the perfect characters to bring a smile to your face. One day, while I was working on a product at Grey-wing, we were introducing the ability to add custom prompts onto our Maritime AI Assistant Chatbot. I got a bit carried away when I was testing the limits of the feature as I decided to make it respond in Minionese. Ofcourse, it never went into production 😆, but here I get to fully go all out and squeezing every fibre of the minion in the bot as I can with Claude.

Typically, I would just ask whatever that immediately comes to mind. This tend to be quite straight to the point and limited in scope and description. Here's an example of what I would use.

Based on the 6 key areas mentioned here, I have broken it down into each individual step and you can test it out for yourself, the impact of the prompts on the quality of the output from the AI Minion.
